Guarantees found in God's Word
Psalms 117:1-2
O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.
- A check is worthless unless we cash it!
- These great promise found throughout His Precious Word and this website are useless until we put them to practice!
Hebrews 4:1-2
Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
- In Hebrews 4:1-2 above is why the writer penned those words!
Hebrews 2:1
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
- If we apply His Word and His many promises to our lives, we will find many blessing that will overflow!
- But! We are determined to do things our way and from experience in my own life time and time again run into a brick wall.
- We often have to come back to the cross and look in faith again. Can't loose our salvation but like Moses we need to turn aside to see!
- That is why the writer in Hebrews 2:1 penned those words...
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
- We would be wise to remember those words in 2 Peter 3:9!
